No! It is not my birthday.
And I wish I could better explain this picture, but not today, not yet!
Just wish me luck.
047.365 – Finally my new washing machine
Photos e Fatos posted a photo:
I wonder how good this one is to wash my gadgets!!! LOL
The previous one was really good! Also a bit bigger inside.
OK, OK! I never really washed my camera, BUT, i did wash (by accident of course) my cordless phone, no kidding!
And the most impressive thing, it was still working after the "bath" (and very clean by the way). It was a very hot wash… LOL
Now you probably are not surprised how I managed to break my previous washing machine, DUUUHN!
046.365 – alone at work
Photos e Fatos posted a photo:
All this week I have been starting work 1 hour early, to accumulate some hours so I can stay home tomorrow morning waiting for my new washing machine without have to take 1/2 day holiday.
I end up spending this first hour of the day all by myself, which I really don’t mind, it has been a long time ago since I was afraid to be alone. Nevertheless, when you know you are the only one in the entire office, and suddenly the printer starts working you can get a bit freaked out.
Oh well, hopefully was not printing "I know what you did last summer!" LOL
Simple Brazilian Beans Recipe
My work college asked me for the recipe of “my brazilian beans”. Every so often I take to work a big pot full of it and feed them all, they love it.
I was disapointed to find out there is no simple beans recipe on line, only the full feijoada, that would be far to heavy for the people here.
My simple recipe, is not exactly very simple, but it is lighter and very easy to do. However you will need a Pressure Cooker.
Ingredients:
300 g of Pinto Beans (or Black Beans if you want some a Feijoada style)
6 Kabanos sausages (or another dry/smoked type of sausage).
Bacon lardonsGarlicOnionSaltPepper1 Beef stock cube1 vegetable stock cube
Spices of your taste (my suggestion bayleaves)
**Pressure Cooker – a 5 litros one is ideal
Soak the beans overnight (or at least for 12 hours) in water.
Chop the onion, and fry with the chopped/crushed garlic.
Add the beans and cabana sausage.
Add boiling water to pan (~ 2 x solids volume).
Put top on pressure cooker, as soon as it gets up to pressure you can lower the heat and let it cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Serve with rice and salads.

So here is my next passport picture.
042.365 went down the drain
Photos e Fatos posted a photo:
My washing machine broke this Saturday, my laundry is full of dirty clothes, and there they shall stay until next Thursday when John Lewis will delivery my new one.
Oh Dear! My weekend just went down the drain. To make life even worse it looks like the drain is blocked. Oh dear, oh dear!!
